I managed to do three out of the ten f&f repeats and it is so darn cute. I can't wait to see it after I block it.
I also picked up yarn for Jackie's present...I was trying to find madeline tosh chunky, but all the local retailer's seemed to be out :( I found something else I like but am still bummed.
Sadly, this might be my last WIP post for a little while. Tuesday morning on my way to work, I hit a spot of black ice, lost control of my beloved Mini...and slammed into a jersey barrier. I don't think my vehicle is totaled...but the same can't be said for my left wrist. I broke it - although the correct term is shattered. I shattered the distal radius and have a hair line fracture in my ulna. I get a cast on Thursday but in the meantime I've got a sling and a splint. I used to think I had a high tolerance for pain....yeah, yesterday proved me wrong.

Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear that! It's like a knitter's worst nightmare. :(
ReplyDeleteI hope you heal soon.
Oh no! So sorry to hear about your arm, that sounds incredibly painful :(
ReplyDeleteI hope it heals quickly and completely!

ReplyDeleteBTW - love the yarn. It's gorgeous.
I've been reading about your accident on Twitter. I am so sorry. That is so scary. Sending lots of healing love your way.
ReplyDeleteOh sweetie! I'm so sorry! I will be praying for a speedy recovery for you. Do you have some books to read while you can't knit?
ReplyDeleteI think an arm injury is my worst nightmare! I am soooo sorry.
ReplyDeleteAlso, in response to the post above, and I know this is not fair to share given your hiatus from knitting, but Windsor has Madelinetosh.
I hope the pain becomes more bearable and that you have a full and speedy recovery. Warm mohair hugs sent your way, e
Oh no! I'm so glad it wasn't worse. Hopefully you'll heal quickly.
ReplyDeleteOh Amy you poor girl. I am just glad you are relatively okay. But I can imagine the pain. Take good care of yourself. If you ever need to vent hit my email my dear. Big virtual hug! xx
ReplyDeleteOhhh noes. :-( I'm glad you're okay, but I'd rather have a broken foot than a broken wrist. Months of no raveling is a sad, sad fate.
ReplyDeleteOh no, that's terrible! Feel better soon!!
ReplyDeleteOuch! That sounds very painful. Take it easy and get better soon!
ReplyDeleteOuch! Thank goodness the mini survived! They don't heal... Well god is telling you to sort through patterns and stash for projects to work on when you get back to knittin! Keep posting so we know how the arm is doing, you are a work in progress of recovery :0)

ReplyDeleteOuch! I hope your wrist heals up soon!
ReplyDeleteEven high tolerances can be exceeded. I can't say that I've ever broken a bone but I have suffered from gout, which I hear is very close. Hope you heal quickly.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry about your accident! I'm glad it wasn't worse but I feel for you. Keep us posted even if you don't have new WIPs to post.
ReplyDeleteouch..get better soon..your knitting needles need you..lol
ReplyDeleteOh gosh, but there's a lot of that going around during/after the holidays! Take it easy, and I am sure once you start healing you will find a way back to the Multnomah, lol. Take plenty of calcium - builds bones quicker!
ReplyDeleteeeeek!! here's hoping for a straightforward recovery x
