I need to let you in on a little secret. This project began a love affair. I am now desperately in love with Tami's Candy Skein yarn and am going to have problems going back to other yarns. But thankfully, my next few projects will be made with various bases from her yarn company - tempting sock as witness in Wednesday's post and her newest base Sweet Fingering which will become my Color Affection Shawl..
I am so pleased with how this project turned out :D
I ended with 37 teeth including the last one formed by the bind off (I went with the less pointy version). In retrospect, I probably could have eked out another two - but I am an awful judge of how much yarn I'm using. Maybe one day I will invest in a scale. Even with seeing other Hitchhikers with less teeth then mine, I was concerned it wasn't big enough but I shouldn't have worried.
A little spa treatment |
I love how the yarn pooled - mostly it was just stripes but there were one or two "glob" sections which I enjoy.
Overall I am very pleased. This yarn has cheered up my winter blues and even though it's more of a spring
I'm so pale I glow |

Woo-hoo! Love the colors!
ReplyDeleteLooks like the perfect every day scarf, can't have to many of those. Love the colors! I also love the floor :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! We live in a renovated factory/mill so all of the floors are original to the building. They are amazing.
DeleteIt is lovely and is sure to brighten any dreary day. I, too, have a hard time judging if I have enough yarn left over. I usually forge ahead and then have to rip back!
ReplyDeleteIt's the cure for February blahs! Everything here is grey and damp and overcast, so your scarf would be just what the doctor ordered :)
ReplyDeleteOoooo. Rainbow! It's beautiful. It looks great on you.
