Still Interested

Ah. It's been awhile, friends. I wish I could say that I've mastered the art of knitting and have made a ton of scarves, hats, and even an afghan...but that would be a lie.

Truth is, I've been busy and frustrated.

However, I'm still interested. And I still want to figure out this whole knitting thing.  This Sunday I'm meeting Rachel in Boston for a fun filled day of knitting. She's going to show my poor fingers what to do.  And in the meantime I'm going to peruse the knitting books I've picked up from the library.

One of the favorite ones I picked up is DomiKNITrix: Whip Your Knitting Into Shape by Jennifer Stafford. I've already decided I can't learn to knit via a book. I find websites with videos to help, but still think I'm the type of learner that just plain needs someone watching my hands and telling me what I'm doing wrong.  I'm the same way with origami...but once I get going, I'm good. But, back to the book.  I really like the author's writing analogies. And I really like some of the designs she's created. I've definitely marked a few I'd like to do once I figure out what the hell I'm doing.

Here's hoping Sunday marks great improvement in my knitting progress!
