WIP: Test Knitting

My friend Jackie decided to design a pair of fingerless gloves for her husband, and asked me if I would be interested in test knitting them for her. So of course I said Hell to the Yeah.  Her husband is currently reading A Song of Ice and Fire series by George R.R. Martin, and he suggested a few titles such as Gauntlet, Bracer and Vampire.  Jackie asked me my thoughts and I came up with just Westeros. Thus, the Westeros Fingerless Gloves were born.
All Cuffed Up

It's a fun knit so far :) And I'm looking forward to tackling my fear of the thumb gusset.  These gloves will be for Nate once they are complete.

I am probably not going to participate in these memes weekly - but it worked out this week :) So this is my first post participating in:

  1. That's a lovely looking cuff :) I've never tried thumb gussets, my two pairs of mitts don't have them, but I think I should give it a go sometime soon, they've got to be warmer

  3. Welcome to WIPW! That ribbing looks nice and squishy. And yet still manly, of course. Don't fear the thumb gusset -- they just sort of appear like magic when you least expect it. Good luck!

  6. Very nice. And on't worry, gussets are quite easy.

  10. Why Amy, while I've been AWOL you've been busy lol! Love, love, love the texture the stitch pattern is making! Looking forward to seeing the finished product. And don't sweat the gusset, it's just one stitch at a time. :)
