I love mail

Today started off pretty crazy - my train was late...and therefore I was almost late.  I am a very punctual person so this is the worst when I cannot control the train.  But then I was allowed to leave at 4 (and get paid for a full day!) so I was able to catch a 4:40 train...but then that train was slow too, and it was raining, and people cannot drive, so I got home around 7 as opposed to the 6:30 I was hoping for. But, I'll take it!

When I got home I found a present waiting for me...a giveaway prize I had won from Unwinding Slowly. I love, love, love the green & purple SPARKLY skein of yarn from Fyberspates. And there was even a little sachet of something that smells delicious in there too.

Soft and pretty and smells good!
I am planning a giveaway for my blog as well, but it's still in the planning phases...I need to contact some people to see if they would be willing to donate anything.

  1. I know exactly what you mean about punctuality - I am punctual (or usually early) to a fault! And I hate it when public transport lets me down in this ;)

Lovely prize from the giveaway, great end to the day!

  2. I love getting surprises in the mail!

  3. I get so stressed when I'm running late becuase of public transport, I know exactly what you mean! And congrats, it looks like yummy yarn.

  4. Hey Amy, thanks for the comment you left on my post about the Big Button Hats. I'm so glad that you got to stop into Windsor Button. It may not be a flashy new decor, but Susan has so many varieties of yarn and a great selection of books and yes it is definitely the place to go for buttons!!!!
I wonder if you would ever consider going on a Friday to a Common Cod Guild event or a Stitch House Knit night? It would make for a very long day for you, so I understand if it is too much. But if you ever want to go, let me know!
Good luck with the new job and the commute.

Thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment! ~Amy
